Judging Requirements

  • Each debater is required to provide a judge for 3 rounds. The same applies for each debater within a family.
  • We ask that every judge check in at the ballot push table before every round, regardless of which boxes you checked on the judge registration page. If you are not needed to judge, we encourage you to go watch a round but we ask that all observing parents leave the round after constructive speeches and report to the ballot push table to see if judges are needed for the next round.

Due to constraints of the facility, judge food will be very limited. Please plan accordingly.

Timers

It is strongly encouraged that younger siblings act as timers. The best way to prepare to be a debater, is to be a timer.

Novice debaters will receive top priority for an available timer.

Varsity students please bring a timer in the event that you will have to self time.
